FarmGirl WannaBe
What rock have I been under? Seriously.
Today, I headed over to the library and this book caught my eye: MaryJane’s Idea Book, Cookbook, Life Book by MaryJane Butters. I then spent the afternoon flipping through the pages, between family tasks, and getting that itch of inspiration.

It’s a beautifully photographed book that you’ll want to step into. It even teaches you how to do all sorts of things like make your own hammock, so that you have a great place to relax while getting mesmerized by the rest of the ideas.
This book also tells a lot of personal stories of the people near and dear to MaryJane. Now MaryJane herself seems to be part Martha Stewart, part Dr. Quinn Medicine woman—she even sports the waist length hair, now that’s something to strive for.
I found MaryJanes website www.maryjanesfarm.org and was blow away by the MaryJane Farm Empire! Clothes, Organic Food, Rugs, Table Cloths, Magazines! Why have I never heard of her before?
Well, anyway, thank you MaryJane for inspiring me to sew an apron, sprout some lentils and definitely take the youngest member of my family camping this summer. Maybe I can be a FarmGirl too!
