The Woman Who Could Walk on Snow
I went out snowshoeing this afternoon. Yay, for getting out of the house!
I didn’t end up going alone. There was one fur-baby who also needed a walk so I took her with me. This is our black and tan coonhound, Willa. It wasn’t easy handling a gung-ho K-9, along with ski poles that I didn’t really need and two extra large feet (should I mention the poop bag too? Blah.) I did let her off leash for a little bit, not that I’m supposed to but, I find that she doesn’t really burn off her extra energy being walked on leash.
It was a beautiful day to be out. I could tell by all the other footprints and ski tracks in the snow that I wasn’t the only one out enjoying the weather. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go out again before a deep freeze sets in. Next time, I’ll be sure to go it alone. The dog just wanted to stick to the beaten path anyway. Not sure if she was being lazy or being smart!
